Hans Ek, Den Sorte Skole & Karsten Fundal with Copenhagen Phil nominated for The Nordic Council Music Prize!

Twelve works have been nominated for the 2020 The Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council Music Prize for their high artistic standard.

The nominees were announced during a live digital broadcast from London and Copenhagen today (June 16th) at 14.00, and the nominees include pop albums, soundtracks, symphonies, and concerts produced by three generations of musicians.

As one of the nominees (from Denmark), we find Den Sorte Skole & Karsten Fundal for their work “Symphony No. II for Sampler and Chamber Orchestra”.

The orchestral work from 2016 in six acts was recorded by members of the Copenhagen Phil and is conducted by our Hans Ek!

CONGRATULATIONS!
